This remediation project is needed to satisfy <br /> requirements of solid waste management permit No. SV-0008-03 for that site. This request is to <br /> appropriate State Revolving Loan Funds for this project in order to excavate the lead impacted soil <br /> and transport it to the West Hawai`i Sanitary Landfill for final disposal. <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance to add the project titled "Kealakehe Scrap Metal Yard <br /> Remediation," and to appropriate $6,000,000 to the Capital Budget. <br /> If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Robin Bauman of the Department of <br /> Environmental Management at 961-8179. <br /> Deanna S.
