No. 628 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 10:50 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 628, reports as follows: <br /> Communication No. 628, submitted by Mayor William P. Kenoi dated January 4, 2016, nominates Mark <br /> S. Gordon for a four-year term to the South Kohala Community Development Plan Action Committee. <br /> Mr. Gordon was introduced by Char Shigemura, Executive Assistant to Mayor Kenoi. Mr. Gordon <br /> stated that he feels privileged and honored to be nominated to the committee. He further stated he would <br /> like to get more involved with the community. <br /> Ms. Wille expressed gratitude to Mr. Gordon for his willingness to serve, and looks forward to the end <br /> of the committee having trouble reaching quorum. She also urged Mr. Gordon to oppose plans for the <br /> committee to meet every other month. <br /> Mr. Gordon was informed that he is not required to be present for Council confirmation. <br /> Your Committee on Planning is in accord with the purpose and intent of Communication No. 628, and <br /> recommends confirmation of the appointment of Mark S.
