STATE OF HAWAII <br /> • ..7TF Ci•M/i' <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 402 16 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE BIG ISLAND <br /> WAVE RIDERS AGAINST DRUGS FOR THE BIG ISLAND COMMUNITY BEACH <br /> CLEANUP. <br /> WHEREAS, the Big Island Wave Riders Against Drugs is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit <br /> organization that cosponsors the Big Island Community Beach Cleanup with the County of <br /> Hawai`i; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Big Island Community Beach Cleanup event is scheduled for March 5, <br /> 2016, and the community will be participating in the cleanup of beaches from Keauhou to <br /> Kawaihae and Honoli`i Beach Park; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Big Island Wave Riders Against Drugs promotes unity through drug- <br /> free group participation, as well as community awareness on the importance of keeping our <br /> beaches clean; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to <br /> the Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to the Big Island Wave Riders Against <br /> Drugs to assist with expenses associated with the Big Island Community Beach Cleanup; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br />
