FC -24 <br />March 1, 2016 <br />Bill 154: INITIATES AN AMENDMENT TO ARTICLE III, SECTION 3-2 OF THE <br />HAWAII COUNTY CHARTER (2014), RELATING TO COUNTY COUNCIL <br />TERMS <br />Amends the term for Council Members from two to four years, and the term limit <br />from two to three consecutive terms. Would take effect on December 5, 2016, and <br />apply to all Council Members elected in the 2016 elections, regardless of how <br />many terms an incumbent Council Member has served. <br />Reference: Comm. 705 <br />Intr. by: Ms. Wille <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Note: B/R, when listed next to the name of an Introducer, signifies that the Council Member has <br />agreed to introduce legislation `By Request" on behalf of the requesting party.
