COUNTY OF HAWAII •. �' % ., STATE OF HAWAII <br /> M <br /> ,r�•OF•MF'� <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 454 16 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO KOKUA PAHOA FOR <br /> A REIMBURSEMENT OF EXPENSES RELATED TO THE 2015 HOLIDAY PARADE. <br /> WHEREAS, Kokua Pahoa is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that unites community, <br /> business, and government to "weed out" criminal activity by enhancing and creating <br /> revitalization and other programs in Pahoa Village; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Holiday Parade through Pahoa, which is organized by the Mainstreet <br /> Pahoa Association, is an annual celebration of fun and merriment for families, community <br /> organizations, and businesses; and <br /> WHEREAS, Kokua Pahoa, which supports the Holiday Parade because it is a drug-free <br /> and alcohol-free event that brings the community together in a positive way, is requesting a <br /> reimbursement of expenses from the 2015 Holiday Parade that includes police security, road <br /> closure notices (print and radio),postage for parade entries, poster printing, and administrative <br /> costs; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to <br /> the Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to Kokua Pahoa to reimburse the Mainstreet <br /> Pahoa Association for expenses related to the 2015 Holiday Parade; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br />
