STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 451 16 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO PAHOA SCHOOLS <br /> SUPPORT FOUNDATION FOR PAHOA HIGH SCHOOL PROJECT GRAD NIGHT. <br /> WHEREAS, Pahoa Schools Support Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization <br /> that supports the students of Pahoa High School; and <br /> WHEREAS, Pahoa Schools Support Foundation is assisting with the annual Project <br /> Grad Night, a fun and safe event that immediately follows commencement exercises for Pahoa <br /> High School's Class of 2016; and <br /> WHEREAS, Pahoa Schools Support Foundation requests funds to assist it in providing a <br /> safe, enjoyable, alcohol-free and drug-free event for the Pahoa High School Class of 2016; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Liquor Control supports youth programs that promote <br /> alcohol- and drug-free events, including Project Grad Night activities; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to <br /> the Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to Pahoa Schools Support Foundation for <br /> Pahoa High School Project Grad Night; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br />
