BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED) : <br /> This appropriation reflects anticipated CDBG funding from HUD for the PY2016 CDBG program and <br /> program income received or anticipated to be received by the Office of Housing and Community <br /> Development (OHCD) . These funds will be utilized to encourage the development of viable <br /> communities by providing decent housing, suitable and safe living environments, and providing <br /> accessibility for disabled individuals to public facilities. All of these projects will benefit <br /> persons of low and moderate income throughout the island of Hawaii. <br /> The Action Plan is submitted to HUD annually and includes the actual projects and activities that <br /> will be carried out with the County's 2016 CDBG funds.
