No. 448-16 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 1:45 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and.Parks and Recreation, to which was referred <br /> Resolution No. 448-16, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 448-16, transmitted by Deputy Corporation Counsel Ronald Kim, via <br /> Communication No. 749 dated March 7, 2016, amends Resolution No. 129-13 (Draft 2): <br /> (1) accepts the dedication of Lots 108, 109, 111 and 112 on File Plan 2463 being Tax Map <br /> Keys: 7-3-063:012, 013; 7-3-064:021, 022, situated at Kohanaiki, District of North Kona, Island <br /> of Hawai`i and State of Hawai`i, from Kohanaiki Shores LLC; (2) authorizes the granting of an <br /> exclusive easement to Kohanaiki Shores LLC over Lots 108 (por.), 109, 111 and 112 on File <br /> Plan No. 2463 and Tax Map Keys: 7-3-063:012 (por.), 013, 7-3-064:021, 022, situated at <br /> Kohanaiki, District of North Kona, Island, County and State of Hawai`i; and (3) accepts a grant <br /> of public access easement from Kohanaiki Shores LLC being a portion of Grant 3086 to Kapena <br /> affecting Lot 107 and a portion of Road Lot A of the Shores at Kohanaiki Resort Subdivision as <br /> shown on File Plan No. 2463, and a portion of Grant 2942 to Hulikoa, affecting a portion of <br /> Parcel 4 being Tax Map Keys: 7-3-009:016 (por.); 7-3-063:011, 014 (por.) situated at Kohanaiki, <br /> District of North Kona, Island of Hawai`i and State of Hawai`i, from Kohanaiki Shores, LLC <br /> (KOH). <br /> This resolution requests Council's approval to amend Resolution No. 129-13 (Draft 2), which <br /> authorized certain road dedications and easements from KOH for public road purposes. <br /> Circumstances have caused KOH to require revisions to the descriptions in order to implement <br /> these easements in accordance with intent of the original resolution. <br /> Council Member Eoff expressed her support of Resolution No. 448-16. She explained that after <br /> the project at Kohanaiki was completed there was an issue with an easement that went through a <br /> lot. The easement has since then been relocated. <br /> Deputy Corporation Counsel Ronald Kim appeared before Your Committee for questions. He noted <br /> that this resolution will amend the statement of easement. <br /> PWPRC Report No. 36 <br />
