The amendment is to delete Conditions C and H which would remove the current agricultural use restrictions and instead allow agricultural land uses that are permitted by the State Land Use Law and the County Zoning Code. The properties are located north of Hawai`i Belt Road and west of Kauakea Road in the Kauakea Subdivision,Pu'ukapu Homesteads, 2nd Series, South Kohala,Ilawai`i. The Commission voted to forward a favorable recommendation to the County Council on the request. The draft bill is attached for your favorable consideration. We have also enclosed a copy of the Planning Director's Background and Recommendation and a draft transcript of the hearing for your information.
