The property is located along the west (makai) side of the Hawai'i Belt Road (Highway <br /> 190)between the 30 and 31 mile markers and approximately 0.5 mile north of the entrance to the <br /> Makalei Golf Course, Kuki`o rd and Manini`bwali, North Kona, Hawaii. <br /> The Commission concurs with the following Planning Director's reasons for recommending <br /> favorable consideration of the request: <br /> The applicants are requesting a Change of Zone from A-5a to FA-2a for 5 acres of <br /> land to subdivide the property into two parcels, one 2-acre lot and one 3-acre lot. If <br /> approved, the smaller lot would be conveyed to their daughter and her family, and the <br /> larger lot would be retained by the applicants.
