"�� BILL NO. 182 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 16 51 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24,ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 1, OF THE <br /> HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO <br /> SPEED LIMITS. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> SECTION 1. The purpose of this amendment is to allow for the increase of the existing <br /> 30 miles per hour speed limit to 35 miles per hour and 45 miles per hour along on two adjacent <br /> sections of Kalapana-Kapoho Beach Drive, pursuant to a traffic study that justified the revisions. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 1, Section 24-256, Schedule 4, 30 mile <br /> per hour limit, subsection (g), Puna, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 edition, as <br /> amended), is amended by revising existing item (3) as follows: <br /> (3) Kalapana-Kapoho Beach Road[.-], from a point six thousand three <br /> hundred sixty-one feet south of Kapoho Kai Drive to its southern <br /> terminus. <br /> SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is <br /> underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and <br /> underscoring need not be included. <br /> SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or,the application thereof <br /> to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or <br /> applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or <br /> application, and to this end,the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. <br /> SECTION 5.
