No. 885 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 11:47 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 885, reports as follows: <br /> Communication No. 885, submitted by Mayor William P. Kenoi dated May 10, 2016, nominates Mark <br /> Van Perris to the Kailua Village Design Commission, to fill a position representing property owners. If <br /> confirmed, he would serve the remainder of a three-year term to end December 31, 2017, replacing <br /> Adam Broderson for a term to expire December 31, 2017. <br /> Mr. Van Perris was introduced by Charmaine Shigemura, Executive Assistant to Mayor Kenoi. <br /> Speaking by videoconference from Kona, Mr. Van Pernis said he felt he has a strong understanding of <br /> Kailua-Kona, that he has worked there all of his adult life. He said he is prepared to serve, has the time, <br /> and is ready to go. <br /> Ms. Eoff, Ms. David, Mr. Kanuha, and Mr. Ilagan all thanked Mr. Van Pernis for his willingness to <br /> serve on the commission.
