Kenoi via Communication No. 911 dated June 9, 2016, <br /> amends Ordinance No. 04-56, which reclassified lands from Agricultural-Five Acres (A-5a) to Single <br /> Family Residential-7,500 Square Feet(RS-7.5) at Puapua'a 2nd,North Kona, Hawaii, covered by Tax <br /> Map Key: 7-5-020:071 and 072. <br /> The applicant, Ali`i Palms, LLC, formerly Lehua Lani, LLC, has requested to amend Condition B (time <br /> extension to secure subdivision approval), Condition J (drainage improvements) and Condition V (fair <br /> share payment) of Ordinance No. 04-56. <br /> The Leeward Planning Commission, at its duly held public hearing on May 19, 2016, concurred with the <br /> Planning Director's reasons for recommending a favorable consideration to amend Conditions B and J <br /> and an unfavorable consideration to amend Condition V. <br /> Former Council Member Curtis Tyler said he appreciated the addition of the correct Hawaiian <br /> diacritical markings but provided comments that were largely critical of the proposed <br /> amendments. <br /> Stanford Carr, president of Alii Palms, LLC, was present. Mr. Can spoke to Mr. Tyler's <br /> numerous concerns about the amended conditions. Mr. Can also said he would be happy to walk <br /> the property with Mr. Tyler. <br /> Mr. Kanuha and Ms. David both expressed hope that Mr. Can could meet with Mr. Tyler. <br /> Mr. Kanuha said this would be heard a few more times. <br /> PC Report No. 70 <br />
