COMMITTEE ON PLANNING <br /> REPORT 72 <br /> (AMENDED) <br /> Planning Committee Vice Chair Maile David stated that there was an error in PC Report 72 (relating <br /> to Resolution 592-16) and clarified that reference to the North Kohala CDP was incorrect and that it <br /> should be the North and South Kona CDP instead. With no objection, the County Council amended <br /> Planning Committee Report 72 with the following change: <br /> The amended Report would change the reference to the North Kohala CDP <br /> located in the fifth paragraph to the North and South Kona CDP, which <br /> would read as follows: "Ms. David reflected on the North [Kohala] and <br /> South Kona CDP process, which required very detailed community <br /> participation. She said that what Ms. Poindexter is doing is the right thing. <br /> She voiced respect for the community's desires on what they want the <br /> community to look like as far as development is concerned. She said she <br /> respects CDPs and believes that once it is incorporated into the planning <br /> process, the county will be better able to make sound decisions because we <br /> will have the framework based on what the community's desires are." <br /> I hereby certify that amended Planning Committee Report 72 was adopted by the Hawai`i County <br /> Council on September 7, 2016. <br /> } <br /> (jkk( <br /> COUNTY CLERK COUNCIL CHAIR <br /> PC REPORT NO. 72 (AMENDED) <br /> ADOPTED: September 7, 2016 <br />
