The grant funds will <br /> be used to purchase a Stalker Speed Awareness Monitor(SAM). In the current fiscal <br /> year's budget, $92,000 is appropriated for this grant. <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating the <br /> additional funds into the Speed Enforcement program account, bringing the total grant <br /> appropriation to $103,068. <br /> The Police Department is requesting that this bill be waived from the Finance Committee <br /> review, and be placed on the September 21, 2016 Council agenda in order expedite the <br /> receipt of these funds.
