No. 612-16 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 1:45 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 612-16, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 612-16, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako, via Comm. No. 1010 dated <br /> August 17, 2016, authorizes the Director of Finance to negotiate a multi-year lease of real property, Na'alehu <br /> Community Park, Small Building, situated at Kawala, District of Ka'u, County and State of Hawai`i, <br /> identified as Tax Map Key: 9-5-021:023, to the Hawaii County Economic Opportunity Council (HCEOC). <br /> This lease consists of a small building to be used for programs and activities in the Na`alehu community. <br /> Jay T. Kimura, Executive Director of HCEOC; and Chad Hasegawa, Housing Preservation Grant/Capital <br /> Improvement/Facilities Manager of HCEOC testified in support of this resolution. <br /> Council Member Maile David thanked Messrs. Kimura and Hasegawa for appearing to testify and asked <br /> Council Members for their support to solidify this long-term lease.
