REQUEST: <br /> Multi-year agreement for Direct Internet Access (DIA) for our West Hawaii Civic Center location. This will be <br /> used as the primary internet connection for the County of Hawaii network users via the firewall that is at the <br /> West Hawaii Civic Center. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> Our current Internet access speed for the West Hawaii Civic Center location is 25MB. The current contract <br /> will expire in Feburary 2017. We have initiated the County's Procurement Process to acquire a suitable <br /> vendor that meets our Internet access needs. <br /> There will be an increase of County network users that will be utilizing the Internet connection located at the <br /> West Hawaii Civic Center over the course of the next few months due to load balancing and increased <br /> Internet security. We would like to request a DIA connection speed of 50MB - 100MB, depending on the <br /> costs and term agreements to see what will benefit the County the best way. <br /> The current Monthly Recurring Cost for the 25MB internet connection is $2,207.50.
