• ,\�j j COUNTY OF HAWAII -_ fit• STATE OF HAWAII 14 Oi*M'� RESOLUTION NO. 667 16 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT FOR DIRECT INTERNET ACCESS AT THE WEST HAWAII CIVIC CENTER WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a multi-year agreement to provide 50 - 100 megabyte internet access which will significantly increase internet bandwidth for the County; and WHEREAS, the County's procurement process is currently being utilized to acquire a vendor to provide these services and WHEREAS, the agreement will increase the connection speed to the internet from 25 megabytes to 50 - 100 megabytes at the West Hawaii Civic Center, providing a significant improvement to Internet performance; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a multi-year agreement to acquire this high speed internet access. 2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
