No. 1073 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 11:20 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 1073, reports as follows: <br /> Communication No. 1073, transmitted by Mayor William P. Kenoi dated September 14, 2016, <br /> nominates Ms. Michele Luahiwa Namahoe, of Council District 4 to the Hawai`i County Merit Appeals <br /> Board. <br /> Ms. Namahoe was introduced by T. Ilihia Gionson, Executive Assistant to Mayor Kenoi, and requested <br /> Council's favorable action of this appointment. Mr. Gionson stated that if Ms. Namahoe is confirmed, <br /> she would fill a vacant term that will expire on December 31, 2020, and that she is not affiliated with <br /> any political party. <br /> Nominee Namahoe was present and expressed that it would be an honor to serve on the Merit Appeals <br /> Board.
