No. 1087/13ill No. 247 <br />PLACE: Council Chambers <br />Kailua-Kona, Hawaii <br />TIME: 2:15 p.m. <br />Council Chair and Members <br />Hawaii County Council <br />Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br />Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 247, <br />reports as follows: <br />Bill No. 247, transmitted by Council Member Margaret Wille, via Communication No. 1087 <br />dated September 29, 2016, names the Bank of Hawaii Building and amends Chapter 15, <br />Article 8, Section 15-68.1 of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), <br />relating to the Parks and Recreation facility schedule. <br />The bill names the former North Kohala Bank of Hawaii Building in Kapa`au to "Ka Hale o Na <br />kupuna i Kohala," and adds it to the Parks and Recreation facility schedule. <br />Council Chair Kanuha and Council Member Onishi requested that she meet with the community <br />before the next Council meeting. <br />Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and <br />intent of Bill No. 247, and recommends its passage on first reading. <br />sc <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC WORKS AND <br />PARKS AND RECREATION <br />VALERIE T.
