'may !k!!'. <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII •� �'' ��• STATE OF HAWAII <br /> Ott Gf•M►•� <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 718 16 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE <br /> DONATION OF USED MOTOR OIL CONTAINMENT UNITS FROM THE <br /> STATE OF HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH <br /> WHEREAS, the State of Hawaii Department of Health is donating used motor <br /> oil containment units to the County of Hawaii; and <br /> WHEREAS, this equipment, with an estimated value of approximately <br /> $28,000, will be utilized by the Department of Environmental Management; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides <br /> that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, <br /> securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, <br /> and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that <br /> any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the <br /> capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by <br /> resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Environmental Management recommends the <br /> acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and <br /> Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the <br /> County of Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
