REQUEST: <br /> We are requesting the Council's permission to increase the total amount of state funds accepted for the <br /> "DOT Highway Safety Grant" by $121,445 which will increadse the total from $15,000 to $136,444.70. <br /> The revenue account affected is 3308.19 "Traffic Safety Training Project" <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> For the Current FY 17 budget the County Council approved the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to <br /> appropriate funds totalling $15,000 for fiscal year 2017 for the continuation of the Highway Safety Grant <br /> Award program. The State of Hawaii, Department of Transportation has now increased the funds they want <br /> to award to the County of Hawaii by $121,445 which increases the total to $136,444.70.
