The property is located on the west side <br /> of Kilauea Avenue approximately 90 feet south of the West Lanikaula Street—Kilauea Avenue <br /> intersection, Waiakea Houselots 2nd Series, South Hilo, Hawai`i. <br /> The Commission concurs with the following Planning Director's reasons for recommending <br /> favorable consideration of the request: <br /> The applicant is requesting a Change of Zone from Single-Family Residential - <br /> 10,000 square feet (RS-10) to General Commercial - 10,000 square feet (CG-10) for <br /> approximately 16,911 square feet of land in order to convert an existing 2-story residence <br /> into a beauty salon and personal services building.
