WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the <br /> Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other <br /> personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, <br /> Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, <br /> securities, or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the <br /> Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this <br /> donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter 2, <br /> Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of <br /> Hawaii accepts this donation. <br /> BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this <br /> resolution be sent to Laura Mallery-Sayre, Daniel Sayre Memorial Foundation, P.O.
