STATE OF HAWAII 38 17 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE BIG ISLAND SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNCIL FOR ITS 2017 KONA SPLASH BASH. WHEREAS, the Big Island Substance Abuse Council (BISAC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire individuals to reclaim and enrich their lives by utilizing innovative resources and harnessing their inner strength; and WHEREAS, the 2017 Kona Splash Bash is a free event sponsored by BISAC that focuses on the health and wellness of our youth and families in the Kona districts; and WHEREAS, the health fair component of the 2017 Kona Splash Bash will address underage drinking, substance abuse, peer pressure, and treatment indicators for adolescents; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to BISAC for expenses related to its 2017 Kona Splash Bash. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: FUND: General AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION: $2,000 OUT AND FROM: 010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief $2,000 CREDITED TO: 010.271.5271.02 Office of the Prosecuting Attorney $2,000 Prosecuting Attorney OCE 115 Misc. Contract Services (BISAC — 2017 Kona Splash Bash)
