TF OF•M'd, <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 46 1'7 <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE NOMINATION OF COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> DRU MAMO KANUHA TO SERVE AS A DIRECTOR ON THE WESTERN <br /> INTERSTATE REGION BOARD OF DIRECTORS. <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawai`i State Association of Counties (HSAC) is a nonprofit <br /> corporation comprised of members of the four county councils of the State of Hawai`i; and <br /> WHEREAS, each county council represented on HSAC is a member of the National <br /> Association of Counties (NACo) and the Western Interstate Region Board of Directors (WIR), <br /> an organization comprised of western counties that is affiliated with NACo; and <br /> WHEREAS, the bylaws of HSAC require the Directors serving on the WIR Board of <br /> Directors to be nominated by the HSAC Executive Committee and approved by the individual <br /> councils; and <br /> WHEREAS, on December 22, 2016, HSAC nominated Council Member Dru Mamo <br /> Kanuha to the board of the WIR for the term ending June 30, 2017; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Council Member Dru Mamo Kanuha is hereby approved to serve as a Director on the Western <br /> Interstate Region Board of Directors. <br />
