COUNTY OF HAWAII •_ �'' � • STATE OF HAWAII <br /> • :. =tee:•,.. <br /> ,TEOF NF•� <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 47 17 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION <br /> OF A LICENSE FOR GIS APPLICATION SOFTWARE FOR USE BY <br /> THE MAYOR'S OFFICE <br /> WHEREAS, an anonymous individual owns and is willing to donate a <br /> single-user license for an ESRI ArcGIS Desktop Basic to the County of Hawaii for <br /> use by the Mayor's Office; and <br /> WHEREAS, the estimated value of this donation is approximately $1,500 <br /> and will be utilized by the Mayor's Office to access, view, edit, and analyze the <br /> County's GIS data for various planning and project purposes; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter <br /> provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of <br /> money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real <br /> estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code <br /> states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which <br /> fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be <br /> accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Mayor's Office recommends the <br /> acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, <br />
