JMtY:.OF N7ry <br /> Iii <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII t °A ''="• , STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ,rE•OF•N►'� <br /> BILL NO. 268 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 17 11 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 1, OF THE <br /> HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO <br /> SPEED LIMITS. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> SECTION 1. The purpose of this amendment is to address the simultaneous extension <br /> of the 35 mile per hour speed limit on a portion of Kuakini Highway by setting the speed limit on <br /> the subsequent portion of Kuakini Highway to a 45 mile per hour speed limit. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 1, Section 24-260, Schedule 8, 45 mile <br /> per hour limit, subsection(f), Kona, be amended by revising item (3) as follows: <br /> (3) Kuakini Highway, [between Walua Road and Route 11.]fiom the <br /> property line between the parcels identified as Tax Map Key <br /> Numbers (3) 7-5-017:005 and (3) 7-5-017:002 to Highway 11. <br /> SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is <br /> underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and <br /> underscoring need not be included. <br /> SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof <br /> to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or <br /> applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or <br /> application, and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. <br />
