OJ»SV OFM..1 <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII -- � STATE OF HAWAII <br /> • • ;.•:!1•1- **., -.- <br /> FOF•MF,, <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 58 1' <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE NOMINATION OF KAUAI COUNTY COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER ARRYL KANESHIRO TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE <br /> NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES. <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawai`i State Association of Counties (HSAC) is comprised of the <br /> county councils of the State of Hawai`i; and <br /> WHEREAS, the county councils of the State of Hawai`i are also members of the <br /> National Association of Counties (NACo), an organization comprised of about 3,000 counties <br /> from across the United States; and <br /> WHEREAS,NACo is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of elected officials of <br /> member-counties; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 5A of the HSAC Bylaws requires nominees of the NACo Board of <br /> Directors to be nominated by the HSAC Executive Committee and member county councils of <br /> HSAC, and then forwarded to the NACo President and Board of Directors for consideration in <br /> accordance with Article VI of the NACo bylaws; and <br /> WHEREAS, on December 22, 2016, HSAC nominated Kaua`i County Council Member <br /> Arryl Kaneshiro to the NACo Board of Directors for the term ending June 30, 2017; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Kaua`i County Council Member Arryl Kaneshiro is hereby approved to serve as a Director on <br /> the National Association of Counties Board of Directors; and <br />
