REQUEST: <br /> Requesting a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter an intergovernmental agreement with the State <br /> Department of Transportation to acquire four (4) 14 passenger vans at the match cost of 20%. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> In cooperation with the State Department of Transportation the County of Hawaii Department of Parks and <br /> Recreation would like to acquire four (4) 14 passenger vehicles for the Department's Coordinated Services <br /> for the Elderly section. The vehicles will be utilized to provide essential shopping, medical, and recreational <br /> transportation for senior citizens 60 years and older and those with disabilities.
