Funds will be used towards providing salary <br /> and other costs associated with hiring an agricultural investigator at the Office of the <br /> Prosecuting Attorney for one year. <br /> Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State <br /> of Hawai`i Department of Agriculture to allow the County to receive funds for this <br /> program. Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by <br /> appropriating this $91,891 to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney's Agricultural <br /> Crimes Project account. <br /> The Office of the Prosecuting Attorney requests that this bill and resolution be waived <br /> from the Finance Committee and be placed on the March 8, 2017 Council agenda in order <br /> to expedite the receipt of these funds.
