REQUEST: <br /> Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a multi-year lease agreement for three (3) Roll-Off trucks for a <br /> period of five (5) years for the Department of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The Solid Waste Division is requesting to lease finance three (3) Roll-off Trucks to be used for hauling refuse <br /> and recyclable bins from various transfer stations to DOH approved/permitted Solid Waste and Recycling <br /> facilities. <br /> Additional roll-off trucks are needed as the division is expanding it's use of roll-off bins for the collection of <br /> recyclables and for the collection of refuse at lower volume sites. These roll-off trucks can also be used with <br /> a pup trailer to increase efficiency by hauling two bins at a time. <br /> Purchase price is estimated at $234,000 per truck. The estimated lease payment is $12,000.00 per month <br /> for all three roll-off trucks. <br /> Funding for the lease is included in the Fiscal Year 2016-17 budget.
