OJ,SYIOF N7., <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII ►•_ � '!_.` STATE OF HAWAII <br /> TE OF:N/i� <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 117 17 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO ANEKONA OULI <br /> KANEHOA VFD COMPANY TO CONSTRUCT A GARAGE FOR VOLUNTEER FIRE <br /> COMPANY, 9-BRAVO. <br /> WHEREAS,Anekona Ouli Kanehoa VFD Company (AOK) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit <br /> organization that represents the volunteer firefighters who provide critical support to the Hawai`i <br /> Fire Department when responding to emergencies; and <br /> WHEREAS,AOK supports 9-Bravo, a volunteer fire company located in Anekona, <br /> Kawaihae, that is trained and certified to assist the Hawai`i Fire Department during emergencies, <br /> primarily serving the areas of Waimea, Saddle Road, Kawaihae Road, Kawaihae Village, and <br /> North Kona; and <br /> WHEREAS, AOK is requesting funds for material to construct a garage for 9-Bravo's <br /> equipment and vehicles, which are currently being stored at the homes of volunteer firefighters; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, <br /> service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the Hawai`i Fire <br /> Department to provide a grant to Anekona Ouli Kanehoa VFD Company for material to <br /> construct a garage for 9-Bravo's equipment and vehicles. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
