COUNTY OF HAWAII "''' •' STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 146 17 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND <br /> RECREATION'S EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS AND TRAINING CLINICS. <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Recreation Division plans, <br /> conducts, arranges, and promotes organized recreation and provides introductory instruction at <br /> various Hawai`i County recreation centers and facilities: and <br /> WHEREAS, the Recreation Division recognizes that children participating in organized <br /> sports tend to achieve higher results in school, develop excellent interpersonal skills, and lead <br /> healthier lives; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Recreation Division has identified the need for funds to provide <br /> educational workshops and training clinics for athletes, parents, coaches, officials,and <br /> volunteers throughout I Iawai`i County; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Recreation Division is requesting funds to cover the cost of workbooks <br /> and training material in order to conduct these educational workshops and clinics and to support <br /> and encourage youth participation in organized sports; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Parks and Recreation, Recreation Division, for expenses associated with educational workshops <br /> and training clinics <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
