COUNTY OF HAWAII `•ice•e'iti•: STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 153 1.7 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE HAWAII ARTIST <br /> COLLABORATION TO ASSIST WITH THE COSTS FOR ART SUPPLIES AND <br /> MATERIALS FOR STUDENTS AT KEALAKEHE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii Artist Collaboration is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization <br /> whose mission is to create opportunities for artists, arts organizations, and educators to integrate <br /> collective knowledge, experiences, and resources for the benefit of society and Hawai'i's culture; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii Artist Collaboration is requesting funds to assist with the costs <br /> for art supplies and materials such as paint, clay, markers, paper, watercolors,and glue for <br /> students at Kealakehe Elementary School; and <br /> WHEREAS, one of the Department of Liquor Control's goals is to support youth <br /> programs that promote alcohol- and drug-free activities, such as educational art activities for <br /> children; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project. event, activity. <br /> service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Liquor Control to provide a grant to the Hawaii Artist Collaboration to assist with the costs for <br /> art supplies and materials for students at Kealakehe Elementary School. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
