HAZMAT EQUIPMENT REQUEST <br /> Requesting funding amount of$82,000 <br /> 1. 5221.02.231, Fire Protection-OCE, Public Safety Supplies <br /> a. Hazmat Response suits are due for replacement. <br /> i. 10 year usability lifespan for entry. Suits expire in 2018 <br /> ii. Require 10 Class A and 10 Class B entry suits. <br /> iii. Refer to attached informational sheets <br /> FIREWORKS ENFORCEMENT <br /> 1. 5222.02.341, Fireworks enforcement-OCE Misc, Charges, Public Display <br /> c. In light of budgetary cuts, Department does not support the use of$30,000 for <br /> fireworks display. <br /> i. Fireworks show is funded through Fireworks permitting fees. <br /> ii. Fireworks show funding is not a mandated use of fireworks fee <br /> revenue. <br /> iii. Primary need should be to purchase equipment for Fireworks <br /> enforcement. <br />
