• <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII -•. � \\' /�#- STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 170 17 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO ASSIST THE POLICE DEPARTMENT WITH <br /> ITS FOOTBALL COMBINE/CLINIC AND 7-ON-7 YOUTH FOOTBALL <br /> TOURNAMENT. <br /> W HEREAS,the Hawai`i Isle Police Activities League (HI-PAL) is a proactive program <br /> of the Police Department that encourages and engages youth to participate in constructive and <br /> supervised athletic activities; and <br /> W HEREAS, HI-PAL will be hosting a football combine/clinic and a 7-on-7 football <br /> tournament for Hawai`i Island's youth at Pana`ewa Park in Hilo; and <br /> WHEREAS,the football combine/clinic will be held on June 10, 2017, and will test <br /> youth athletes using various speed, agility, and strength drills; and <br /> WHEREAS,the youth football tournament, 7-on-7 Battle by the Bay, will be a two-day <br /> event on June 11-12, 2017; and <br /> WHEREAS, HI-PAL is requesting funds to help with officiating fees and to purchase <br /> T-Shirts for all participants of the 7-on-7 youth football tournament; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the Police Department <br /> to assist with its HI-PAL football combine/clinic and 7-on-7 youth football tournament. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the followingamount as set forth below: <br />
