4oJN`y os H '. <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII • •/=• STATE OF HAWAII <br /> 0 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. i 17 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION <br /> OF A FORD SERVICE TRUCK FROM THE HONOLULU FIRE <br /> DEPARTMENT <br /> WHEREAS, the Honolulu Fire Department is donating a 1992 Ford Service <br /> Truck to the Hawaii Fire Department; and <br /> WHEREAS, this equipment will be transferred to the Hawaii Fire Department <br /> at no cost and will be used as a fuel truck; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter <br /> provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of <br /> money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real <br /> estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code <br /> states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall <br /> within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted <br /> by resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this <br /> donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and <br /> Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of <br /> the County of Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
