• Y OH • <br /> •BOJS '.-F /j7 <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> • +T' Mi Mof <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 188 1-7 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A <br /> LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR <br /> FOR A MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT WITH MARSHALL & SWIFT FOR <br /> THE RENEWAL OF SOFTWARE LICENSES AND USE OF DATA FOR <br /> VALUING REAL PROPERTY TO BE USED BY THE FINANCE <br /> DEPARTMENT'S REAL PROPERTY TAX DIVISION <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, <br /> lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later <br /> fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii Finance Department's Real Property Tax <br /> Division currently uses this proprietary software from Marshall & Swift, along with the <br /> City and County of Honolulu, the County of Maui and the County of Kauai for the <br /> purpose of valuing real property in Hawaii County for Ad Valorem taxation purposes; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a five (5) year agreement <br /> with Marshall & Swift in order to its ability to use the aforementioned software to <br /> update our cost tables on an annual basis; and <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into multi-year <br /> agreement with Marshall & Swift for the software indicated above. <br />
