This bill proposes to add additional tiers of tax exemption based on age. <br /> Specifically, it would add two additional tiers to the current exemption amounts of: <br /> Age of Taxpayer Exemption Amount <br /> • 60 years of age or over but not 70 year of age or over $80,000 <br /> • 70 years of age or over $100,000 <br /> to become: <br /> • 60 years of age or over but not 70 year of age or over $80,000 <br /> • 70 years of age or over but not 75 years of age or over $100,000 <br /> • 75 years of age or over but not 80 years of age or over $110,000 <br /> • 80 years of age or over $120,000 <br /> This bill seeks to relieve the elderly of some of their economic burden by creating the additional <br /> exemption tiers indicated above.
