COUNTY OF HAWAII -•� �' ') STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 223 17 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI- YEAR LEASE OF REAL PROPERTY FOR HAWAII COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT WAREHOUSE + 10-11e•requires that anycontract, lease or other WHEREAS, Section of the County Charter q obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and WHEREAS, the County of Hawai`i (hereinafter"County") presently has a year to year Lease for warehouse space for use by the Hawai`i County Police Department at TMK: (3) 1-6-146-032 (por.), situate in Kea`au, District of Puna, County and State of Hawai`i; and WHEREAS, the Fifth Amended Lease, dated June 28, 2016, is scheduled to terminate on July 1, 2017; and WHEREAS, the County has obtained approval by the landowner to amend and extend the Lease for an additional four (4) year period beginning July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2021, with the monthly lease fee being $7,200 for the period July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2021; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, that the Honorable Harry Kim, Mayor of the County of Hawai`i, is hereby authorized to enter into a.multi-year extension of the Lease with Geo Investment Company Inc., for an additional four (4) years from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2021. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the amended Lease.
