If overtime is cut will another officer be allowed to cover shifts?And if not that would leave <br /> us even more vulnerable. <br /> Why is a district the size of Oahu so understaffed? Puna is the fastest growing district in the state and only 8 officer are <br /> assigned to it. How are we citizens supposed to feel safe?The only ones who are safe are the thieves and drug dealers <br /> because catching them in the act is almost impossible. <br /> Neighborhood Watch volunteers can only do so much and we are working very hard to get license plate numbers of <br /> suspicious vehicles reported to the police but we can't do it alone.We need to know that if we have a burglary in <br /> progress we won't have to wait 30 minutes for the officers to get to Volcano. <br /> If we had a manned station up here the response time would be minimal. <br /> None of us feel safe in our own homes any longer. <br /> We hope that the Council can find a way to help us feel safe again Thank you for your time and consideration Sent from <br /> my iPhone <br /> GOMM No. C11'4245 <br /> Ref.
