COUNTY OF HAWAII +: _•= STATE OF HAWAII <br /> •-ATE • <br /> OfM�'� <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 225 17 <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE HAWAII STATE ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES <br /> NOMINEES TO THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES BOARD OF <br /> DIRECTORS AND THE WESTERN INTERSTATE REGION BOARD OF DIRECTORS <br /> FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017-2018. <br /> WHEREAS, on April 24, 2017, the Hawai`i State Association of Counties Executive <br /> Committee meeting approved the nominations to the National Association of Counties (NACo) <br /> Board of Directors and Western Interstate Region(WIR) Board of Directors for fiscal year 2017- <br /> 2018; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to HSAC bylaws, each council shall take appropriate action on the <br /> nominationsrior to the HSAC annual meeting; and <br /> p g� <br /> WHEREAS, HSAC bylaws further state that HSAC shall have two directors serving on <br /> the NACo Board of Directors and two directors serving on the WIR Board of Directors who are <br /> nominated to the position by the HSAC Executive Committee and the individual councils prior <br /> to the HSAC annual meeting; now, therefore <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it <br /> hereby approves the following HSAC nominations to the NACo Board of Directors: <br /> 1. Arryl Kaneshiro, Kauai County Council <br /> 2. Ikaika Anderson, Honolulu City Council <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the following HSAC nominations to the WIR Board of <br /> Directors are hereby approved: <br /> 1. Mike White, Maui County Council <br /> 2. Dru Kanuha, Hawai`i County Council <br />
