r..w .3 <br /> • i <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII : STATE OF HAWAII <br /> BILL NO. 1 4 9 <br /> 97 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 148 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OFFICIALLY NAMING THE PUNALU'U BLACK SAND BEACH PARK. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> SECTION 1. Findings and Purpose. In 1953 the Bernice Pauahi Bishop Estate granted <br /> to the County of Hawaii, Parks and Recreation Division a lease of approximately 8.887 acres of <br /> land for the use of establishing a beach park in Punalu'u, Ka'u. The purpose of this ordinance, <br /> pursuant to Chapter 15, Article 8 of the Hawaii County Code (1983), is to officially name the <br /> park located at Tax Map Key 9-6-01:6,11 in Punalu'u, Ka'u the Punalu'u Black Sand Beach <br /> Park. <br /> SECTION 2. Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, the park at Punalu'u, Ka'u <br /> is hereby named the Punalu'u Black Sand Beach Park. <br /> SECTION 3. In the event that any portion of this ordinance is declaredinvalid, such <br /> invalidity shall not affect the other parts of this ordinance. <br /> SECTION 4.
