Dear Council Member Poindexter: <br /> It is our understanding that Bill 32 is scheduled come before the full County Council on June 7, 2017. <br /> This is for the $20 million SRF funding for the closure of the Hilo Landfill. <br /> DEM would appreciate 5 minutes of the Council's time to present a quick overview of the proposed <br /> activities, preliminary proposed closure designs and update on DEM meeting on June 1 with DOH in <br /> Honolulu. <br /> DEM will prepare handouts for the Council and present information on the needs and function of these <br /> funds. DEM is also available for any Council Member outside of the Council meetings, understanding <br /> that due to the sunshine code, we cannot meet with more than two of you at one time. <br /> Please let me know if the short presentation can be allowed before the final vote on this issue. <br /> Thank you for your understanding, <br /> Bill <br /> William A.
