No. 1032/Bill No. 319 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 11:30 A.M. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 319, reports as follows: <br /> Bill No. 319, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication No. 1032, dated <br /> October 13, 1998, amends Ordinance No. 98-50, as amended, the Capital Budget ending June 30, 1999, <br /> by adding the following project: <br /> PUBLIC WORKS <br /> West Hawaii Sanitary Landfill -Telephone Transmission Cable $103,000 <br /> 110-699-5697.70-115 <br /> Funds for this project shall be provided from: <br /> General Obligation Bonds,Capital Projects Fund,Fund Balance and/or Other Sources $103,000 <br /> Presently, a temporary ground-level cable provides transmission capability to the West Hawaii Landfill. <br /> However, the cable has deteriorated and is unreliable, especially during inclement weather when moisture <br /> disrupts telephone services.
