The proposed amendments are <br /> shown below in Ramseyer format with respect to the contents of Bill No. 13; material to <br /> be deleted is bracketed and stricken and material to be added is underscored. <br /> 1. On page 2 of the bill, in SECTION 1, division 1, "Findings and purpose" section, the fifth <br /> paragraph is amended to read as follows: <br /> "Implementation of this ban will maximize diversion of compostables, including <br /> compostable foodware, from the waste stream to be available as compost to farmers, <br /> landscapers, and residents. Accordingly, this ordinanceis being implemented in <br /> tandem with the County's full-scale compost program[, both scheduled to take effect <br /> on July 1, 2018]." <br /> 2. On page 4 of the bill, in SECTION 1, division 1, "Definitions" section, a new definition <br /> is added to be appropriately inserted and to read as follows: <br /> ""Recyclables"means material that has reached the end of its current use and is <br /> processed into material utilized in the production of new products.
