-Nt.j•pp M,•. <br /> STATE OF HAWAI I <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII I�� �''•-• ��� ` <br /> °lI-M <br /> ,rF OF°H�:}I <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 248 17 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF <br /> TRANSPORATION SERVICES FROM YOUNG BROTHERS, INC. <br /> ° WHEREAS, Young Brothers, Inc. is donating transportation services with an <br /> estimated value of$12,748; and <br /> WHEREAS, the above donation covers 48 percent of the cost of shipping <br /> seven (7) buses donated to the County of Hawaii by the City and County of <br /> Honolulu; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides <br /> that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, <br /> securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, <br /> and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that <br /> any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the <br /> capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by <br /> resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawai'i's Mass Transit Agency recommends the <br /> acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and <br /> Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the <br /> County of Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
