No. 361/Bill No. 54 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 1:02 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation,to which was referred Bill 54, <br /> reports as follows: <br /> Bill 54, transmitted by Council Member Karen Eoff, via Communication 361 dated <br /> July 14, 2017, amends Chapter 15, Article 7, of the Hawai`i County Code.1983 (2016 Edition, <br /> as amended), relating to the Veterans Advisory Committee. <br /> The bill amends Section 15- 61, by reducing the number of committee members from 16 to 14. <br /> The bill also amends Section 15-62, by deleting three inactive veterans organizations and adding <br /> two new veterans organizations. The bill reduces the required number of at-large members from <br /> three to one. <br /> Council Member Eoff introduced Communication 361.1, dated July 25, 2017, which further <br /> amends Bill 54, by reducing the membership of the committee from 14 to 12.
