COUNTY OF HAWAII I STATE OF HAWAII <br /> • <br /> AV. <br /> M:* <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 259 17 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO REIMBURSE THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS <br /> AND RECREATION FOR EXPENSES RELATED TO THE QUEEN LILI`UOKALANI <br /> FESTIVAL. <br /> WHEREAS, the Queen Lili`uokalani Festival is a free community event held annually at <br /> Lili`uokalani Gardens in Hilo that celebrates the birthday of the last reigning monarch of <br /> Hawai`i; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawai`i provides support for the Queen Lili`uokalani <br /> Festival, which is scheduled for September 9, 2017, and will feature a mass hula performance, a <br /> floral cascade of more than 25,000 orchid blossoms, entertainment, demonstrations, children's <br /> games, food trucks, taiko.drumming, a tea ceremony, and informational booths; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting a reimbursement of <br /> expenses related to this annual celebration, which includes security, tents, and portable toilets; <br /> now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Parks and Recreation for the reimbursement of expenses related to the 2017 Queen Lili`uokalani <br /> Festival. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $2,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $2,000 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.500.5517.02 Department of Parks and Recreation $2,000 <br /> Culture &Education OCE <br /> 115 Misc.
